Ford Escape Hybrid Review
Ford Escape Hybrid is a small, rugged look sports utility vehicle, responsive
in handling, and outstanding fuel economy with reduced emissions. It s an affordable
SUV that offers agile handling, smooth and comfortable ride for four. Handling
a Ford Escape is like handling a conventional because it is nimble and responsive.
Escape was first introduced as 2001 model from which the 2003 model upgraded its
interior materials The 2004 Escape Hybrid has full hybrid function and demonstrate
advanced energy efficiency with its combined 2.3-liter 4-cylinder internal combustion
engine that has 65-kilowatt electric motor and 28-kilowatt generator, modified
to run on what’s known as the Atkinson cycle that maximizes fuel economy but with
the cost of low-end torque.

It also offers a regenerative braking system, an engine that automatically stops
while idling on a heavy traffic, and an accelerator that instantly starts back
up. The engine is coupled by an electric assist system for acceleration comparable
to 201-horsepower V6 engine hybrids. Ford Escape pulls 50 mpg on a highway drive
but takes a little hard in maintaining speeds or 55 mph or so on long uphill stretches.
Escape hybrid is offering great gas mileage of about 39 miles per gallon in an
all-wheel-drive Escape Hybrid.
