2005 Ford Escape Hybrid is the best selling SUV priced with an average of 1 percent over 2004 prices. Escape Hybrid offers agile handling and brisk acceleration with its standard V6 engine. It has an improved 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, and for the first time available with an automatic transmission that creates an increased power. Escape hybrid also offers an optional fully automatic four-wheel drive that operates transparently in the background. The 2005 Escape Hybrid uses a special version of the 2.3-liter gas engine teamed with an electric motor, which is designed to make a quick response at the same time deliver excellent fuel economy. Its engine automatically shuts off when idling just like when caught in a heavy traffic. Hybrid comes in with XLT, XLS, and Limited models, with new face due to styling revisions. Escape Hybrid is offering 133 horsepower at 5900 rpm, 196 lb.-ft of torque at 4700 rpm, with fur-speed automatic and five-speed optional transmissions.
