Ford Motors Co. 132,243 were recalled for the possibility of seat belt buckle failure to latch or engage only partially, because the tab could wear and break over time. Escapes with 3-liter V6 engine might experience an intermittent stall when decelerating at speeds below 40 mph. The buckle tongue may can be inserted properly and may seem to be engaged properly but will release even without pressing the button release or simply when the occupant moves slightly on the seat, putting more risk of personal injury.
