2001 Ford Escape Recall
Ford Motors Co. 132,243 were recalled for the possibility of seat belt buckle
failure to latch or engage only partially, because the tab could wear and break
over time. Escapes with 3-liter V6 engine might experience an intermittent stall
when decelerating at speeds below 40 mph. The buckle tongue may can be inserted
properly and may seem to be engaged properly but will release even without pressing
the button release or simply when the occupant moves slightly on the seat, putting
more risk of personal injury.

rear drive shaft replacement because of differential leaks, and engine hydromount
defect. Rumors about fuel smell problem will put Ford Co. to issue another official
recall. Ford Motor already issued a bulletin regarding this problem but many Ford
owners are unaware of the existence of the said bulletin.
